Our establishment
LA FARMACIA DE DOÑA AMALIA is a country house located in Fuentesaúco de Fuentidueña (Segovia), in the region of Tierra de Pinares. The 110 m² building is traditional-style and dates back to the late 19th century, when natural remedies and, more particularly, medicinal plants, were the main and even the only resource available. The illnesses of local were cured here using their mixtures. We now try to heal the tiredness of walkers. It is a two-storey house built in a rustic style based on stone and wood, fully refurbished in the year 2000 to create a warm, well equipped dwelling.

We have a total capacity for 7 people in 3 double rooms with a bathroom and a hair dryer. There is also an extra folding bed available.

What is in the vecinity of LA FARMACIA DE DOÑA AMALIA? - Countryside: Nature has carefully preserved a place rich in spectacular countryside, such as the Las Hoces del Río Duratón Nature Reserve where kayaking can be enjoyed. - Monuments: For art enthusiasts, this area is home to the oldest Romanesque building in its purest state in Segovia and to the best preserved Mudejar in Cuéllar and the Castle of Coca. - Fishing: Fishing preserve in the Duratón Rover and fish farm at Vivar de Fuentidueña; trout waters only 8 km. away. - Cuisine: This area serves rich, traditional Castillian cuisine and many say that the suckling pig in this area is the best in Spain. Come and try it in Sacramenia, Sepúlveda, Aranda de Duero and Peñafiel.
